Volunteer Applications are Now Open for the 2024/2025 Engineer in Residence (EIR) Program
Engineers of Tomorrow is now welcoming applications for the Engineer in Residence Program for 2024/2025. The EIR program is an engineering outreach program, reaching elementary and high school students. The volunteer EIR brings real-life dimension to the curriculum, using hands-on projects, presentations, and other activities in the classroom. By sharing their personal stories and passion for their profession, the EIR's presence in the classroom puts a face to engineering. For more information and to apply, please see the news story.

Volunteer Opportunities
Registration Committee
The Registration Committee is a committee of Council, responsible for conducting the final review of applicants and interns moving forward towards final registration. The committee is currently looking for professional engineers, specifically in the areas of civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, or electrical engineering to participate in monthly meetings to discuss assigned files, issues, and policy development. Application deadline for this opportunity is Friday, April 12, 2024. For full details about this position, please review the full call for volunteers.

Appeal Committee
The Appeal Committee fulfills one of the core functions of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, as mandated by the Act and by-laws. Appeal Committee members determine, as a panel, whether to uphold, modify, or overturn decisions made by the Registration Committee, Registrar, or Investigation Committee, by hearing appeals made by applicants regarding registration decisions, and complainants regarding decisions made by the Investigation Committee. The committee is looking for additional professional members (P.Eng. and P.Geo.) who have ten or more years of professional practice experience, have knowledge of the Act and by-laws, and some knowledge of the judicial process to join the committee.
