Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW)

Overview

Every year, Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week is held across Canada. It is a part of the larger National Engineering Month (March). In Manitoba PEGW has the following objectives:

• To promote engineering and geoscience as career choices
• To celebrate Manitoba's excellence in engineering and geoscience
• To draw attention to the vital role engineering and geoscience play in the daily lives of all Manitobans

Volunteering

Volunteers are needed in several areas to make this event a success. Joining the PEGW Committee to organize the event is one opportunity. Going to a school near your home or office to speak to Science teachers and deliver contest info kits is another way to participate. Helping on the event weekend is a third way to get involved! Get your children to build a bridge and enter the competition. Also, bring an extra 'tin for the bin' to the event. Contact the APEGM Manager of Operations and Finance for details.
