PEGW 2007: Manitoba Events

Activities Galore!

• PEGW2007 in Winnipeg was held at the St.Vital Shopping Centre in Winnipeg from March 2-4, 2007 with activities/activités for everyone.
• Friday, March 2, 2007 featured a Celebrity Competition where local celebrity teams competed to build the best working Elastic Band Car. A description of the event along with guidelines and judging criteria for contestants can be found in the official contest rules.
• Saturday, March 3, 2007 featured the ever popular Spaghetti Bridge Building Contest. The Spaghetti Bridge competition was open to all school children. Contestants were required to follow specific contest rules/règles.
• Sunday, March 4, 2007 there were Children's Activities in the Mall from noon to 4:00 pm, plus a 3D IMAX special presentation at the IMAX Theatre at Portage Place.
• Other activities included engineering/geoscience displays during the the three days, as well as the presentation of a provincial proclamation for Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week on the Friday.
