Professional development is the on-going acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that increase the effectiveness and competence of a professional practitioner.
In 2011 the membership adopted a Continuing Professional Development Program that requires them to keep track of their professional development activities. The Association has also prepared a brochure to assist APEGM members in maintaining and enhancing their competence.
APEGM maintains a listing of upcoming conferences and lectures that may be of interest to its membership. There is also a listing of selected papers from past APEGM professional development events. When the APEGM is involved with orgainizing an event you can often register online.
Professional Development Opportunities represent engineering or geoscience training that is not a single event. We maintain a page of upcoming Continuing Education programs that may be of interest to you.
