Understanding your Secondary Professional Liability Insurance
Members in good standing at participating regulators automatically have Secondary Professional Liability Insurance. This unique program protects both you and the public in numerous scenarios involving whistleblowing, retirement, intellectual property, data loss, mentorship, and more. NEW Student Achievement Award
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba are proud to announce a new award category for 2022, intended to recognize an undergraduate engineering or geoscience student or group of students who have shown excellence in, and/or major contributions to, the concept/design of a groundbreaking engienering or geoscience project/thesis. Nominations will be considered for their innovation, impact, complexity, and feasibility. The winner will receive a $1000 cash prize along with the 2022 Student Achievement Award, to be presented at the EngGeoMB Awards Event in October 2022. 18th Annual Making Links Engineering Classic
Registration is now open for the 18th Annual Making Links Engineering Classic golf day taking place on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Quarry Oaks in Steinbach, in support of the Price Faculty of Engineering. Early bird pricing is in effect until Wednesday, April 20. To register your team, visit the Making Links event page for more information and online registration. Engineers of Tomorrow's Engineer-in-Residence Information Session
Join representatives from Engineers of Tomorrow and Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba to learn more about the Engineer-in-Residence (EIR) program now operating in Manitoba. This free program links school teachers with engineering volunteers who provide regular in-class or virtual activities to support the curriculum and engage students with a world of engineering. Lunch 'n' Learn: Introduction to Digital Seals and Electronic Document Authentication - April 20, 2022
In this virtual 60-minute session, attendees will be introduced to the key ingredients to ensure electronic document reliability from a legal perspective, the different signature technologies available on the market and the varying levels of reliability of each, what is specific about EngGeoMB's digital signature certificates, its benefits, and how it is used to authenticate professional work products in accordance with EngGeoMB Guidelines for Use of Professional Seal.
