Member Engagement Sessions - Future By-law Changes
Council invites all members to participate in open online engagement sessions discussing potential by-law changes for 2024. This engagement session will go over the By-law Change Process and potential changes will be presented for discussion and feedback. Engagement sessions will be held on Thursday, February 1, and Friday, February 9. Alternatively, feedback or questions can be emailed to Danielle Unett at DUnett@EngGeoMB.ca. Last Chance For 2023 Ingenium On-Demand Library - Registration Closes Tomorrow!
The Ingenium On-Demand Library, featuring all of the live and exclusively recorded sessions from Ingenium 2023 is available until February 9, 2024. Those who registered for Ingenium can use their email address to access the On-Demand Library at any time. If you missed out, it's not too late: Ingenium registration closes tomorrow: Friday, January 26, 2024, and you'll get instant access to the On-Demand Library.

2024 Awards Nominations are Open
The Association is seeking nominations for the 2024 Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Awards. Honours are presented in ten categories and recognize outstanding Manitoba engineers and geoscientists, teams, and employers. Submit to Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba no later than Friday, February 23, 2024. The Student Achievement Award nomination deadline is Friday, May 10, 2024. Detailed award descriptions and nomination forms can be found on our awards page. You can read about the 2023 winners on the Past Awards Recipients webpage.

Volunteer Opportunities
Competency-Based Assessors - Multiple Positions
EngGeoMB is seeking additional assessors to conduct a final review of an applicant's Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) report by providing their own ratings for each of the competencies and making a recommendation on the applicant's readiness for professional registration. We are seeking professional members who are working in a supervisory capacity and are receiving remuneration on a full-time or regular basis (greater than 300 hours per calendar year) in all engineering and geoscience disciplines, but with a specific need in the following engineering disciplines: Civil (hydrology, water resources), Mechanical (HVAC), Biomedical, and Industrial. Anti-Black Racism Training - February 8, 2024
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba invites you to join this two-hour online anti-Black racism training facilitated by Rainbow Diversity Institute, which is offered at the subsidized registration fee of $45 plus GST. Participants will explore racial power structures, racial hierarchies, and the role of colonialism in anti-Black racism in the past and present. LEAD For Leaders: What's Microaggressions Got To Do With It? - February 21, 2024
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba invites members to join this exclusive three-hour follow-up training session to deepen their understanding of microaggressions and their impacts in the workplace, presented by certified mediators Delia Joseph and Karen Ridd.
