Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Celebrates National Engineering Month (NEM)
Presented by Engineers Canada and guided by the theme, "There's a place for you in engineering," National Engineering Month celebrates the diversity of thoughts, opportunities, and people that make up the engineering profession, and whose passion and commitment drive efforts that improve our world. In Manitoba, EngGeoMB will celebrate both engineers and geoscientists with events during Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW), March 17 - March 23, 2024. Certificate of Authorization Renewals - Now Open
Certificate of Authorizations are currently renewing for the period of May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025. Renewal notices have been mailed out to the listed authorized designates. All companies who hold a Certificate of Authorization must submit their renewal payment by April 30, 2024. If the company is no longer providing engineering and/or geoscience services within the province of Manitoba, please complete and return the cancellation form. Renewal payments can be made online by credit card or submitting a cheque by mail.

International Women's Day - March 8, 2024
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. The IWD 2024 campaign theme is Inspire Inclusion: when we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. Volunteer Opportunities
PEGW Volunteers - Tuesday, March 19 + Wednesday, March 20, 2024
Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) is held to promote engineering and geoscience as career choices and celebrate engineering and geoscience within our province. A few volunteers are still needed for the in-person Spaghetti Bridge Competition on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Kildonan Place Mall, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., and Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Bruce Middle School, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. For full details and to sign up, please see the full call for volunteers.

Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) - Children's Activities - March 17, 2024
Join us at Kildonan Place to mark the start of the 2024 Provincial Engineering & Geoscience Week (PEGW) with fun activities to engage the next generation of engineers and geoscientists! Children's activities running on Sunday afternoon provide kids of all ages a chance to have some fun; from building structures out of gumdrops, to digging for cool rocks and building a working circuit, there's something for everyone. All activities are free to attend, but parents and guardians are kindly reminded that they may not leave their children unattended at this event. For mroe information, please see the event listing.


Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) - Spaghetti Bridge Competition - March 21, 2024
The annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition, in support of Harvest Manitoba, returns with a virtual breaking day on Thursday, March 21. K-Grade 12 students compete to build the strongest bridge truss using just pasta and white or wood glue. Join us online starting at 10:00 a.m. to watch as we test their trusses to destruction! Brandon University: GAC-MAC-PEG 2024 - May 19 - May 22, 2024
Brandon University is hosting the 2024 GAC-MAC annual meeting, joined this year by the 10th International Symposium on Granitic Pegmatites. Attendees can expect a scientific program and a variety of field trips and short courses. For more information and to register, please see the event listing.
