2025 Renewals are Open
The 2025 renewal period for Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is open! Log in to your online profile to view your 2025 renewal notice and to renew online. If you have requested your renewal notice to be sent via mail, due to the Canada Post strike, your physical notice will be mailed to your preferred mailing address as soon as possible. Further information about the renewal process can be found on our website.

2024 ProDev Deadline
This is a reminder to members and licensees that the deadline to record ProDev activities for the 2022 to 2024 evaluation period is Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Please log in to your online profile and record your activities if you have not already done so.

Join the 2025 Circular Mentorship Program - Deadline: Sunday, December 15, 2024
The 2025 Circular Mentorship Program is a year-long program that unites practitioners in engineering and geoscience professions and build trusting relationships among less experienced and more-experienced members together, to offer guidance, support, and encouragement aimed at developing the competence and character. Volunteer Opportunities
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is a committee of Council, which assists in identifying election candidates who meet the criteria for new councillors as described in the Governance Policy for Councillor Roles and Job Description. The Nominating Committee is looking for one professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) to join the committee for a one-year term. For more information, please see the full call for volunteers.

Investigation Committee
The Investigation Committee is a committee of Council and is made up of registered professionals from all disciplines, who review complaints made about the conduct of members in a timely manner and makes recommendations for discipline based on the severity of the offense. The committee also provides guidance to membership on standards of professional practice. The committee is currently looking for a professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) to join the committee. Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is a committee of Council, that assists Council in fulfilling its' external and direct inspection monitoring of the fiscal policy, by meeting with the external auditor to review the draft Audited Financial Statements and Audit Report and provides a report back to Council. The committee is currently looking for a professional member (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) who is financially literate and has previous experience with fiscal policies, accounting systems, auditing skills, and experience in non-profit or similar sized organization. An MBA or CPA designation is preferred but not required. For full details, please see the call for volunteers.

University of Manitoba Ecole Polytechnique Massacre Memorial Service - Friday, December 6, 2024
This service honours the 14 female engineering students that were violently killed in an anti-feminist mass shooting on December 6, 1989, at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. This tragedy resulted in December 6 being commemorated as The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. The service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. in the EITC Atrium. For more information, please read the full news story.

Winnipeg Construction Association: Building Code - Mezzanines and Interconnected Floor Spaces - Friday, December 13, 2024
This session will provide attendees with an understanding of the application of Subsection 3.2.8. Mezzanines and Openings through Floor Assemblies of the 2020 National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) to buildings regulated by Part 3 of the Code.
