Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Commitment Statement Engagement Sessions
As part of the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Equity in Regulation Action Plan, the Association has developed a recommended Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Commitment Statement. This engagement session will review the background and engagement work to draft the EDI Commitment Statement and discuss the intent of this project. Engagement sessions will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., and Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Practitioners can alternatively submit their feedback or questions through email to Lisa Stepnuk at LStepnuk@EngGeoMB.ca. This is your opportunity to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions in their fields of engineering and geoscience at the 2025 EngGeoMB Awards. Whether it's through innovation, leadership, or community impact, your nominations help shine a spotlight on those who inspire and elevate others in Manitoba. Submit your nominations no later than Friday, February 21, 2025; the Student Achievement Award nomination deadline is Friday, May 9, 2025. Volunteer Opportunity
Awards Committee - Multiple Positions
The Awards Committee is responsible for receiving nominations and selecting candidates from among the practitioners of the Association, so that professionals are recognized for their excellence by the Association at the annual Awards Ceremony. The committee is currently looking for two new committee members, who have strong written communication skills and are well connected within the community to join the committee. EngGeoMB Info Session: Student Enrollment, Professional Registration, and CBA - Thursday, February 13, 2025
Are you an engineering or geoscience student wondering how to prepare for and apply for professional registration? This session is ideal for current students and soon-to-be graduates and will provide insights into the Association, the benefits of enrolling as a Student of the Association while completing your degree, the application process to become an intern after graduation, and detailed information on the Competency-Based Assessment Reporting System (CBA). Filipino Members Chapter Presents: 30 by 30 Women in Engineering Initiative - Friday, February 21, 2025
The 30 by 30 initiative was launched nationally in 2014, setting an inspiring goal: To have 30% of newly licensed engineers be women by 2030. This evening will provide a delicious dinner, exciting games, inspiring speeches, and most importantly, the chance to connect with other incredible women - students, young professionals, and experienced engineers - who've chosen to blaze a trail in engineering.
