whether through formal policies or informal agreements.

evaluate the public interest considerations,
why it matters to you and your practice,
and then provide your feedback by answering a few survey questions.

2026 Spaghetti Bridge Competition
As part of Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Month
and Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week,
our annual
Spaghetti Bridge Competition,
in support of Harvest Manitoba,
will return!
Students in K - Grade 12 compete to build the strongest truss using just pasta and white or wood glue,
then watch as we test it to destruction!
The builder(s) of the strongest truss in each class wins a prize and a donation will be made
to Harvest Manitoba based on the cumulative load that all of the trusses hold.
Entry into the 2026 Spaghetti Bridge Competition is
free,
but pre-registration is required by the
Friday, February 27, 2026
deadline.

Ecole River Heights School is looking for judges for their annual science fair on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Judges can choose to volunteer for the morning only, the afternoon only, or for both where you'll be helping
to give the grade seven and eight students a rewarding scientific experience!
Both english-speaking and french-speaking judges are needed.

Geologize Communications Courses: Free Access for EngGeoMB Members, Licensees, and Interns
Geoscientists Canada has renewed and expanded its collaboration with Geologize for another two years (2026-2028),
continuing to provide free access for all licensed and registered members to Geologize's critically acclaimed
online training - Practical Geocommunication. Also included is a brand-new Mining Communication course,
with a mining focus but designed to help geoscientists in all disciplines develop stronger, clearer,
and more impactful messages about the profession's role in modern society. Both courses count toward Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
