Cities of the Future as part of Provincial Engineers and Geoscientists Week (PEGW) 2026
and National Engineering and Geoscience Month (NEGM)!
Narrated by John Krasinski, this engaging film explores how engineering and geoscience
shape sustainable, resilient, and innovative cities.

Certificate of Authorization Renewals: Now Open
Certificate of Authorizations are currently renewing for the period of
Friday, May 1, 2026,
to
Friday, April 30, 2027.
Renewal notices have been mailed out to the listed authorized designates and should be received shortly.
All companies who hold a Certificate of Authorization must submit their renewal payment by
Thursday, April 30, 2026.
If the company is no longer providing engineering and/or geoscience services within the province of Manitoba,
please complete and return the
Certificate of Authorization cancellation form.
Renewal payments can be made online by credit card,
submitting a cheque by mail, or by contacting the Association office by phone at (204) 474-2736.
Volunteer as a Judge: 2026 Manitoba Schools Science Symposium (MSSS)
Volunteers are needed to serve as judges for the Manitoba Schools Science Symposium (MSSS),
Manitoba's largest science fair for students in Grades 4 - 12.
As a judge, you will evaluate engineering and geoscience projects for the Association's Special Awards
and engage with students as they present their work. Judging will take place
Saturday, April 12, 2026,
from
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
at the Max Bell Centre, University of Manitoba, with a brief judges orientation provided in advance.
EngGeoMB University of Manitoba Info Sessions
Anjanette Zielinski, Director of Registration at Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba,
will be hosting two information sessions at the University of Manitoba on the professional registration process for engineering and geoscience graduates and students.
Both sessions will cover key steps toward licensure,
including the engineering intern (EIT) or geoscience intern (GIT) pathways,
the National Professional Practice Examination (NPPE), the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) process,
and requirements for obtaining a P.Eng. or P.Geo licence.
CEGSA Session - Monday, March 16, 2026
Hosted by the Civil Engineering Graduate Students' Association (CEGSA), this session will also include guidance for internationally educated engineers.
Geoscience Students: Department of Earth Sciences Seminar Series - Thursday, March 19, 2026
This session is geared toward geoscience graduates and students and will focus on academic qualification requirements and the geoscience intern (GIT) pathway.

Chinese Members Chapter Presents: Annual General Meeting and Professional Development Seminar -

The Chinese Members Chapter of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM)
and Professional Development Seminar at Kum Koon Garden Restaurant.
The AGM brings Chapter members together to reflect on the past year's activities and priorities,
and to shape the direction of the Chapter moving forward. The evening will include a formal business session,
dinner networking, and a professional development seminar.
