Deadline is Tomorrow: Call for 2026 Council Applications
The Nominating Committee is accepting nominations for individuals interested in serving on Council. This is an opportunity to play an active role in guiding the direction of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba and contributing to its governance. Those who are interested are asked to complete the Council Application Form and submit it, along with their curriculum vitae (CV) to the attention of the Nominating Committee c/o the Association at Info@EngGeoMB.ca, or by other standard contact methods by the deadline. The deadline is tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. (Friday, April 24, 2026). For more details and information, please see the Nominations for Council Elections.

EngGeoMB Habitat for Humanity Team Build Days - Wednesday, May 20 + Thursday, June 4, 2026
Are you ready to make a real difference in your community while having a blast? Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba invites you to join the team for two team build days in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Work alongside colleagues, friends, and fellow professionals to complete building tasks; no construction experience required! Limited spaces still available. National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2026 - Sunday, April 19 - Saturday, April 25, 2026
National Volunteer Week is a time to recognize and thank the incredible volunteers who support Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. 2026 has been proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, highlighting the global importance of volunteerism in building stronger communities. We are proud to celebrate our volunteers and look forward to our Volunteer Appreciation Event on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.

Understanding Allyship Training - Thursday, May 21, 2026
Prairie Catalyst will facilitate a 1-hour (virtual) introductory EDI training session on Understanding Allyship. Following completion of the training workshops participants will be able to:
1. Understand equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) terminology.
2. Identify examples of unconscious bias around them and in their workplace.
3. Understand their motivation, role, and responsibilities in disrupting bias through active allyship.
4. Articulate ways they can practice everyday inclusion to support others in their workplaces.

Filipino Members Chapter Presents: Navigating the Path - Completing Your Competency-Based Assessment - Saturday, May 2, 2026
The Filipino Members Chapter invites you to a professional development seminar on navigating the path to your Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation through the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) process. Geologize Communications Courses: Free Access for EngGeoMB Members, Licensees, and Interns
Geoscientists Canada has renewed and expanded its collaboration with Geologize for another two years (2026 - 2028), continuing to provide free access for all licensed and registered members to Geologize's critically acclaimed online training - Practical Geocommunication. Also included is a brand-new Mining Communication course, with a mining focus but designed to help geoscientists in all disciplines develop stronger, clearer, and more impactful messages about the profession's role in modern society.
