Extended: Call for 2026 Council Applications The Nominating Committee
is accepting nominations for individuals interested in serving on Council. This
is an opportunity to play an active role in guiding the direction of Engineers
Geoscientists Manitoba and contributing to its governance. Those who are
interested are asked to complete the
Council
Application Form and submit it, along with their curriculum vitae (CV) to
the attention of the Nominating Committee c/o the Association at
Info@EngGeoMB.ca,
or by other standard
contact
methods by the deadline.
The deadline has been extended to Friday, May

CBA
Competency Interpretation Statements for Engineering and Geoscience The
Association has released a new resource for applicants in the Competency-Based
Assessment (CBA) process. The CBA Interpretation Statements for Engineering and
Geoscience are intended to assist applicants when preparing their competency
self-assessments by providing clarity on the evidence needed to demonstrate
readiness for professional registration and licensure. Further information is

Have
You Participated in the 2025 Salary Survey? The 2025 Salary Survey is
open for eligible practitioners to complete via a link in their
online profile. Completing the survey provides practitioners,
employers, and the public with information regarding engineers' and
geoscientists' salaries and benefits in the Province of Manitoba. This
information assists Association practitioners in understanding their
compensation with respect to the local marketplace and enables comparisons with
data from other practitioners. For access to the survey, please login to your
online profile.
Engineers
Yukon & Carleton University Survey Invitation: Caregiving Skills &
Professional Development in Engineering Engineers Yukon, in partnership
with Carleton University, is working on a research project concerning
caregiving, engineering skills, and continuing professional development (CPD).
The survey is looking for engineers who have been licensed to practice in Canada
for two or more years, who also have caregiving responsibilities (e.g.,
childcare, eldercare, disability-care, medical-care etc.). As a token of
appreciation, once you have completed the survey, you will have the option to
enter a draw to win one of thirty $50 Amazon gift cards. For more information

Understanding
Allyship Training -
Thursday, May 21, 2026 Prairie Catalyst will
facilitate a one-hour virtual introductory EDI training session on Understanding
Allyship. Following the workshop, participants will gain a clear understanding
of key EDI terminology, learn to recognize unconscious bias in their
surroundings and workplace, and explore their role in addressing bias through
active allyship. They will also identify practical ways to support everyday

Tuesday, June 2, 2026 Join us in
celebrating our volunteers at the upcoming EngGeoMB Volunteer Appreciation Night
at
Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada! Enjoy an evening connecting
with fellow volunteers while exploring the Royal Aviation Museum's aircraft,
aviation artefacts, and interactive exhibits that share stories of flight and
innovation connected to Manitoba and Northern Canada. Tickets are now available
for all practitioners to buy online for the subsidized price of $15 plus GST
