Academic Self-Assessment Checklists
If you are an engineering intern applicant who does not meet the academic qualifications, you will be subject to an academic assessment. All geoscience intern applicants must complete a self-assessment.
During a self-assessment, you will undertake an analysis of your academic program in comparison to the expected content of current Canadian programs.
For geoscience, before you complete the self-assessment checklist, applicants are encouraged to review the Geoscientists Canada Self-Assessment Tool, which allows applicants to compare details about their academic training with typical requirements for professional registration in Canada.
How to do your Self-Assessment
Review relevant self-assessment tables listed below and choose the one that best matches the discipline of your bachelor's degree.
Write the name of your courses (as they appear on the WES course listing or transcript) beside the appropriate subject description of the Canadian syllabus.
Note: these checklists are Microsoft Word (.docx) documents. Request alternate formats if required.
