Women's Mentorship Program

[]

The Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program is aimed at supporting engineering or geoscience students and interns by matching them with professional members who are working in a similar field. The program provides a great opportunity for all participants to expand their professional networks.

The program consists of four mentorship events held annually, generally between October and March.

Started in 2015 by the Committee to Increase the Participation of Women in Engineering (CIPWIE) by a group of dedicated volunteers, the mentorship program has grown to serve over 190 students, interns and professionals.

Eligibility

The program is open to women professional engineers or geoscientists to act as mentors, and interns who are registered with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba to be protégées.

The program is also open to women undergraduate (in at least their 2nd year of study) and graduate engineering and geoscience students as well as IEEQ students.

Participating as a Mentor or Protégée

To register as either a mentor or a protégée for the upcoming year, complete an application by September 25, 2023.
