The Making Links Engineering Classic (MLEC) golf tournament was founded in 2004. Organized by the Sports Committee of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of Manitoba in association with the University of Manitoba Faculty of Engineering, the tournament offers APEGM members and their guests with an enjoyable golf outing and an opportunity to network with fellow professionals, while supporting the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba. The first five years of the tournament has resulted in over $60,000 of support for the education of Manitoba's future engineers at the U of M Faculty of Engineering.
